We’re partnered with a well-established, high-end residential developer delivering a flagship multi-phased RC frame development in Hampstead, West London. Spread across several blocks and featuring a striking 16-storey tower, this scheme represents one of the area’s most prestigious projects.
As the Technical Manager, you’ll hold responsibility for leading the technical function on site. This includes managing two Technical Coordinators and overseeing a wide range of external design consultants. Your role will be critical in driving design delivery, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting smooth coordination between construction, design, and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the technical design process across multiple phases of the development
* Oversee and mentor two Technical Coordinators, providing guidance and support
* Manage and coordinate external consultants (architects, structural & M&E engineers, façade specialists, etc.)
* Ensure design information is delivered in line with project programmes and build sequence
* Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
* Resolve design and construction interface issues efficiently, maintaining programme and quality standards
* Liaise closely with commercial and construction teams to mitigate risks and ensure buildability
* Monitor compliance with Building Regulations, NHBC, planning conditions, and developer’s design standards
* Report directly to the Project Director, providing technical updates and risk management input.

About you:
* Previous experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager within residential-led schemes
* Strong knowledge of RC frame developments and multi-phased projects
* Proven ability to manage consultants, internal teams, and resolve design-related challenges
* Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
