National Account Manager UK (Grocery/Retail) – Brand: Myprotein. Reporting: B2B Sales Director. Location: Manchester HQ, ICON, WA15 0AF. You’ll manage a high-value P&L, shape the B2B retail strategy, and unlock potential in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Responsibilities
* Manage a dedicated portfolio of UK Grocery accounts, ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and achievement of growth targets.
* Own delivery of key commercial objectives within assigned customers, aligning activities with the business strategy through proactive stakeholder management.
* Assess customer product mix to improve profitability (PPU) and incorporate marketing initiatives such as complexity reduction and cost-optimised product recommendations.
* Develop and maintain customer joint business plans, ensuring alignment with priorities.
* Lead negotiations with buyers to secure optimal distribution, fixture space, and prioritise profitable SKUs.
* Manage relationships across commercial, technical and product development teams to deliver results in a matrix environment.
* Maintain forecast accuracy, collaborate with the demand planner to support CSL and stock targets, and feed into financial planning.
* Conduct annual reviews of account plans as part of budgeting for the upcoming year.
* Implement promotional plans within trade budgets and evaluate ROI on promotions.
* Provide accurate rolling monthly sales forecasts and deliver a refined monthly demand plan.
Qualifications and skills
* 3+ years of experience in Account Management within Food & Beverage or Grocery Retail.
* Strong understanding of the UK retail landscape with a track record of delivering growth.
* Knowledge or genuine interest in sports nutrition, health, or wellness products.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making.
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborative, relationship-focused with experience building key customer partnerships.
* Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a drive to own and lead initiatives.
