Thorn Baker are working with a Somerset based contractor who are looking for a Highways Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.
This position will be responsible for leading the delivery of our clients highway and cyclical maintenance contract which covers Somerset
What we are looking for:
* Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline, IOSH
* Strong understanding of highways statutory duties
* Experience working with local authorities
* Ability to work within budgets and timeframes
* Reactive highway maintenance experience
* IT literate
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance contract, ensuring works are completed on time and within budgets
* Promote safe working culture and behaviour
* Ensure all records are kept up to date
* Work closely with clients to implement and maintain contracts
* Ensure supervisory and operational teams deliver on all requirements
* Maintain standards required at each site
