About the Role
We are looking for a confident and motivated individual who is passionate about contemporary jewellery and thrives on delivering outstanding customer service both in person and online.
This role is a hybrid of customer service and retail, requiring someone who can respond to customer queries via email with speed, accuracy, and warmth, while also being proactive and hands-on on the shop floor.
Youll be joining a small, dedicated team in our North London gallery, helping create a welcoming and inspiring space for our customers whether theyre visiting us in person or shopping online.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide flawless customer service, both in-store and via email and phone - responding to enquiries quickly, professionally, and with attention to detail.
2. Support the daily operations of the gallery, including greeting customers, maintaining a tidy and inviting environment, and executing regular visual merchandising updates.
3. Assist with inventory and stock management: receiving deliveries, prepping items for photography, pricing, and ensuring products are properly displayed.
4. Monitor and maintain stock of packaging and other essentials.
5. Process and dispatch web orders in a timely and professional manner.
6. Support with repairs and aftercare, maintaining clear and accurate communication with customers throughout.
7. Be a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for our customers, with an understanding of our jewellers methods, materials, and processes.
8. Follow all security and operational procedures to maintain the safety and integrity of our space.
Skills, Experience & Competencies
Essential
9. Customer service experience (especially via email)
10. Strong written and verbal English
11. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
12. Confident with multitasking between shop-floor and back-office tasks
13. Friendly, proactive, and a team player
14. Passion for contemporary jewellery and design
15. Available to work weekdays and weekends (including Sundays and key trading periods such as Christmas)
Advantageous
16. Jewellery-making or gemstone knowledge
17. Previous experience in a similar retail or gallery environment
18. Experience with inventory systems or stock management
Hours
Part-time, minimum 2 days per week potentially including weekends.
Flexibility required during busier trading periods.
