We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our small, supportive HR team by coordinating HR processes and providing clear, accurate advice to individuals and managers on various HR policies and employment relations issues. The post holder will handle general administration related to HR processes and payroll duties, utilizing strong IT, interpersonal, and organizational skills to effectively coordinate these processes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate factual and theoretical knowledge of HR administration. High awareness of personal impact, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will enable them to deliver exceptional customer service. Strong attention to detail, effective prioritization skills, and an understanding of confidentiality are essential.

You will be based at the Fitzwilliam Museum, the principal museum of the University of Cambridge and the largest cultural venue in the region. Founded in 1816, the museum welcomes around 500,000 visitors annually and houses over half a million works of art and cultural artifacts from 10,000 BCE to the present, mainly from Europe, North Africa, and Asia.
Working Arrangements
To support staff development both professionally and personally, we offer hybrid working options. The role allows flexibility to work some days from home, subject to business needs. The work pattern is 4 days/29 hours, with the specific schedule to be agreed.
Employment Details
This is a temporary, fixed-term position for 1 year or until the return of the current post holder, whichever comes first.
Upon accepting an offer, the successful candidate will need to undergo a basic disclosure (criminal records check) and security check.
