This boutique restaurant is situated in the fabulous estuary town of Topsham, serving fresh modern European cuisine concentrating on locally sourced fish from local day boats and the South West coast.
We are currently seeking a talented Head Chef to oversee the day to day running of the kitchen. With a passion for seafood and seasonal ingredients, everything is made in house using the finest, local produce from the South West.
It is a hands-on role and the candidate will be a strong leader who can be creative & motivate a team, and be knowledgeable about food together with safety practices. So expect oodles of autonomy, passion and drive.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following; -
* Day to day operation of the kitchen
* Recruitment of Kitchen Team
* Training of kitchen team members
* Maintaining and introducing procedures to ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation
* Controlling and achieving GP
* Liaising with suppliers
* Taking control of all administration tasks
* Ordering, and accepting deliveries
* Rostering effectively and controlling kitchen labour
* Developing new dishes and creating seasonal menus
* You will report directly to the Managing Director/Owner
