Aspect Hotel Dublin Park West is situated within the award-winning Park West Business Campus, near the city and all the major road networks. Access to and from the hotel is effortless and well located within just four miles West of Dublin City Centre. Access to the city is made easy by the local commuter train which takes just 8 minutes and there is also a regular bus service from outside the hotel. It’s the ideal spot for people travelling for business or leisure, offering 141 guest bedrooms and serviced apartments as well as excellent conference facilities. We offer warm and friendly service to all our guests and strive to create a work environment of trust, professionalism, collaboration and camaraderie.
The Role
The role
As the first person to greet our guests, the hotel receptionist role is key in setting a welcoming tone for every guest on behalf of the entire team in the hotel. We are an experienced, enthusiastic team of hospitality professionals and if you join us you can expect to work in a professional environment where the focus is on collectively delivering the highest levels of customer care for our guests.
Ability to communicate fluently in English and a friendly manner are important skills for this role.
This is a full-time permanent role. Aspect Hotel Park West is a 24/7 operation, so this role will be 5 days over 7 and involve morning, middle and evening shifts & weekend work. About The Role
What’s involved in the role:
 * Greeting guests in a warm, friendly manner.
 * Checking in and out guests professionally.
 * Answering switchboard and telephone in a friendly, professional manner, transferring calls to correct extensions and dealing with requests.
 * Taking reservations with care, noting any special requests.
 * Informing the guests about all hotel facilities and those locally available to enhance their stay.
 * Ensuring that billing is completed correctly.
 * Dealing with any guest feedback, queries and suggestions quickly and efficiently.
Is this role for you? Here are the key criteria we are looking out for:
For this role it is important that you have at least two years of experience as a hotel receptionist .
Experience with the Opera system would be ideal, but isn't 100% essential as training can be provided.
Working in a hotel reception involves a lot of multi tasking - you would have to be comfortable with that.
As the role involves processing detailed information, the ability to focus and record detail is very important.
Being fluent in English is essential for this role.
A welcoming and friendly, happy and caring disposition is very important.
