Role Overview
As an Assistant Bodyshop Manager, you will play an integral role in supporting the Bodyshop Manager to ensure the smooth running of the workshop. This includes job carding of vehicles, organising parts, and helping to maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Discuss planned repairs with customers, set expectations, and advise on estimated completion dates (ECD)
* Listen to customer requirements and concerns to ensure their satisfaction
* Ensure workshop documentation is accurate and comprehensive
* Work closely with central functions to maintain a strong understanding of processes
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a team lead, supervisory, or parts-focused role, ideally in the automotive industry
* Proactive and detail-oriented, with a “get it right first time” approach
* Strong communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and teamworking skills
* Flexible and adaptable to changing demands
* Excellent organisational skills with a focus on process
* Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
* Technical knowledge and experience in body and paint repair is desirable but not essential
