Job Title: Contract Manager
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Manager to join our team in Kent.
Role Summary:
1. Manage contracts related to staff, operation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical plants/services, project works, and building performance.
2. Oversee daily operations of the Engineering team, ensuring compliance with CBRE processes and procedures.
3. Direct and manage all CBRE staff and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to working practices.
4. Complete weekly operations reports and participate in client meetings and operational reviews.
5. Report any issues affecting building and facilities operations promptly to senior management.
6. Review and improve operating procedures and emergency/contingency plans for critical systems.
7. Coordinate with the client and CBRE Area Manager on contract issues such as defects and deficiencies.
8. Ensure staff are trained and knowledgeable about the operation of critical and non-critical systems.
9. Maintain quality standards across facilities.
10. Communicate and implement business policies and processes effectively.
11. Optimize staffing levels to balance cost and service quality.
12. Collaborate with other Operations Managers for business development and team support.
13. Develop financial plans for revenue, profit, cost reduction, and growth, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
14. Maintain control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.
15. Foster a customer-focused approach and maintain strong client relationships.
16. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to team members.
17. Communicate effectively through management meetings, reports, and other channels.
18. Promote learning, training, and development within the team.
19. Attend training on plant and system installation, including overnight stays if necessary.
Experience Required:
1. Experience in the Building Services industry.
2. HV Authorised Person (preferred).
3. Formal Electrical or Mechanical training to at least City and Guilds level, preferably ONC/HNC or higher.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate technicians/operatives.
5. Understanding of Health and Safety issues; NEBOSH/IPOSH or equivalent training is desirable.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
7. Good command of English and Mathematics.
8. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
9. Ability to work under pressure and deliver services within deadlines.
