Our client, a leading organisation in Greater Manchester is currently seeking an Interim Fire Safety Manager to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Implement and maintain fire safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying any areas of concern and developing strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
3. Provide expert advice and guidance on fire safety matters to all staff and stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with relevant departments and external agencies to coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuation plans.
5. Conduct thorough investigations of any fire-related incidents and recommend measures for improvement.
6. Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in fire safety legislation, technologies, and practises, and ensure their effective implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
7. Proven experience in a similar role, with a thorough understanding of fire safety regulations and best practises.
8. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff at all levels.
10. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement fire safety strategies, policies, and procedures.
11. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within strict deadlines.
12. Experience conducting fire risk assessments and knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.
13. Relevant qualifications in fire safety or risk management would be highly advantageous.
