We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a can-do attitude and flexible approach. Applicants must have qualifications and relevant experience in Supervising within the Maintenance or Facilities Management industry. An NVQ level or higher trade qualification is required for this role. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day reactive repairs and void properties, overseeing operatives to ensure efficient work delivery, auditing work quality and safety, and planning and delivering larger planned works. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as support for other maintenance contracts may be required based on demand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure operatives use their vehicles safely, report accidents and damage, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and manage van stock efficiently.
2. Escalate urgent issues to the Contract Manager and highlight long-term service delivery risks.
3. Be accountable for managed jobs, supporting the Operations Centre with technical queries and issues.
4. Scope and survey work such as Voids, Bathrooms, and Kitchens, providing detailed information for job coding using the Schedule of Rates.
5. Supervise and monitor works through to completion.
6. Recruit, induct, and manage operatives, ensuring a professional introduction and successful probation process.
7. Understand and confidently deliver toolbox talks, ensuring attendance.
8. Treat tenants with respect and escalate unresolved issues to the Contract Manager.
9. Reinforce health and safety practices, conducting observations and highlighting issues.
10. Conduct employee investigations professionally and promptly.
11. Manage absence procedures, including return-to-work interviews and performance reviews.
12. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses professionally and timely.
13. Follow and adhere to the Integrated Management Systems, processes, and procedures.
14. Provide out-of-hours escalation support and attend sites as requested.
