Interim Systems AccountantLocation: Taunton (4 days on-site per week)
Rate: Up to £300 per day
Duration: 6 months Start: July 2026
OverviewA well-established manufacturing business based in Taunton is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support finance systems optimisation and ongoing transformation initiatives.This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of finance systems, processes and reporting, with a focus on improving efficiency and supporting the wider finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and optimise finance systems and processes
* Act as a key contact for systems-related queries and troubleshooting
* Assist with data integrity, reporting improvements and system enhancements
* Support system upgrades, implementations or integrations
* Work closely with finance and operational teams to drive efficiencies
* Provide user training and support to improve system utilisation
* Ensure strong controls and best practice processes are embedded
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience as a Systems Accountant or Finance Systems Specialist
* Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
* Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial processes
* Confident working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills to support and train users
* Ability to be on-site regularly (4 days per week)
