Overview
Are you a Hydraulic Modeller who has Tuflow and Flood Modeller experience? Would you like to join a supportive team of Engineers, based in Cheltenham?
Candidates are required to have a strong academic background and experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside in Cheltenham and have a keen interest in climate change, wetland restoration and drainage engineering.
Responsibilities
* Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
* Flood risk assessments, flood consequence assessments, nutrient neutrality assessments and drainage strategies.
* Hydrological assessments.
* Natural flood management, wetland management and re-wilding projects.
* Flood risk mapping and estimation.
* Support new team members and check technical flood risk/complex hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
* Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop new opportunities and ensure projects are delivered to time and budget.
Qualifications and requirements
* Strong academic background.
* Experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
* Residence in or near Cheltenham is beneficial.
* Keen interest in climate change, wetland restoration and drainage engineering.
