Role Description
We are seeking a skilled New Business & Account Manager to step in as our resident meat & quality expert and lead on sales driving, standards and training; driving efficiencies and growth across the business, training & developing our workforce and taking ownership of the associated product standards and customer accounts.
The role involves building and managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for conducting sales activities, maintaining detailed account management records, and fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders. Collaboration with the internal team to meet client needs and achieve business goals is integral to the position.

Responsibilities:
· Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, including retailers, foodservice operators, distributors and processors.
· Actively seek out new business opportunities and develop strategies for business development in line with our company standards and objectives.
· Serve as the primary liaison for new business and existing customer sales communication, handling enquiries, orders, pricing and issue resolution.
· Develop account strategies to increase volume, margin and long-term partnership value.
· Collaborate with operations and senior management teams to ensure accurate fulfilment and on-time delivery.
· Understand customer specifications, cuts, packaging, labelling and quality requirements.
· Prepare sales forecasts, reports and account performance reviews.
· Negotiate pricing, contracts and promotional programs within company guidelines.
· Travel as needed to visit customers, attend industry events and support business development.
· Liaise with department managers to plan daily workflow, taking into account orders, lead times and stock levels.
· Manage daily queries regarding the operations workflow, meat types and quality queries & issues from across the business and become our in-house troubleshooter for these e.g. substitution suggestions for orders & recipes, QA Hold management etc.
· Liaise with relevant team members to monitor quality assurance, customer comments and frequent problem products.
· Maintain SPECs and resipes on our internal IT systems and ensure that these are set to the best standards for our customers.
· Liaise with department leads on stock required for weekly planned workflow.
· Collaborate with senior management on New Product Development, advising on product suitability, flavour profile and quality.
· Plan training for apprentice butchers, new team members and existing team on SPECs, product standards and quality.
· Monitor quality assurance and food safety protocols.
Skills & Experience:
· Time and workflow management.
· Years of sales or account management experience within the food production industry.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Flexible & creative thinker with good problem-solving skills.
· In depth knowledge of and passion for meat products, cuts, processing and supply chain dynamics.
· Proficient in food safety practices & regulations (Level 3 certification training supplied).
· Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
· Advanced butchery and knife skills.
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
· Self-motivated & positive attitude.

· Location – 3 days in Head Office, London / 2 days from home or visiting customers
Schedule
* Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
Pay
· Base rate – negotiable. Sales commission - negotiable
