Mechanical Engineer Didcot,Oxfordshire Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Rate: £20 - £21 per hour We are currently seeking a Site Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities management team at a high-profile site in Didcot. Role Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and plant equipment across the site. You will ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely, with minimal disruption to operations. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and repair of mechanical building services including: Air Handling Units (AHUs) Heating and Cooling Systems Pumps, Valves, and Pipework Pressure Systems Daily checks and routine servicing of plant equipment Fault finding and resolution Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures Liaising with other engineering staff and management to coordinate tasks effectively Requirements: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Experience with AHUs, HVAC systems, pressure systems, and general mechanical plant Knowledge of heating and chilled water systems Ability to read technical drawings and manuals Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Good communication and organisational skills Desirable: Previous experience in a facilities management or building services environment Additional certification in pressure systems or F-Gas (advantageous but not essential) Apply today to join a well-established team and make an impact in a dynamic site-based role.
