A growing construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding infrastructure team based in Chesterfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take a leading role on large-scale infrastructure and capital delivery projects across sectors including energy, utilities, transport and heavy civil engineering.
The business continues to secure major long-term programmes nationally and offers a strong platform for career progression, flexible working and exposure to complex, high-value schemes.
The role:
1. Leading commercial management activities across major infrastructure projects
2. Managing cost reporting, forecasting, budgets and financial performance
3. Administering NEC contracts and overseeing change management processes
4. Supporting procurement strategy and contractor engagement
5. Managing commercial risk and ensuring effective project controls
6. Acting as a key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders
7. Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members
Requirements:
8. Experience operating at Senior or Principal Quantity Surveyor level
9. Strong understanding of NEC forms of contract
10. Background within infrastructure, civil engineering, utilities or energy projects
11. Experience working on large-scale capital delivery programmes
12. Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management capability
13. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
14. MRICS qualified or working towards chartership desirable

15. £60,000 – £70,000 salary depending on experience
