The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing our girls’ sports provision and fostering a lifelong love for physical activity.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially A Level, depending on experience and school provision).
* Contribute to the continuous development and review of the girls’ PE curriculum, ensuring breadth and challenge.
* Organise, lead, and supervise a range of popular extracurricular sports clubs and teams, and attend fixtures (which may require after‑school commitment).
* Act as a form tutor and contribute to the schools pastoral system, helping to support the holistic development of our students.
* Actively encourage high levels of participation and success for all girls in PE lessons and competitive sport.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Proven experience teaching a broad range of physical activities to girls at secondary level.
* Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
* A dedicated team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
