Role - Real Estate Finance Paralegal

Overview
The Real Estate Finance Paralegal provides dedicated legal support to solicitors working on Real Estate Finance matters. The role focuses on UK Real Estate Finance transactions involving secured lending, property acquisitions, refinancings, and development funding. The successful candidate will play a key role in progressing Real Estate Finance transactions efficiently and in compliance with UK legal and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Support solicitors on a broad range of Real Estate Finance transactions, including investment finance, development finance, refinancing, and portfolio lending
* Draft, review, and manage Real Estate Finance documentation, including facility agreements, legal charges, debentures, guarantees, certificates of title, and ancillary finance documents
* Prepare and maintain Real Estate Finance transaction bibles, completion checklists, and conditions precedent schedules
* Assist with Real Estate Finance due diligence, including review of title documents, property searches, leases, planning documents, and corporate information
* Coordinate Real Estate Finance completions and post-completion matters, including filings at HM Land Registry and Companies House
* Liaise with clients, lenders, borrowers, agents, valuers, and opposing legal advisers on all Real Estate Finance matters
* Manage execution and completion mechanics for Real Estate Finance transactions, including signing formalities and virtual completions
* Track deadlines, undertakings, and post-completion requirements arising from Real Estate Finance transactions
* Maintain accurate Real Estate Finance matter files in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory standards
* Assist with legal research and drafting related specifically to Real Estate Finance issues
Qualifications & Experience
* Paralegal qualification or relevant legal education (e.g. law degree or LPC/SQE studies)
* Prior experience supporting Real Estate Finance transactions within a UK law firm or in-house legal team
* Solid understanding of UK Real Estate Finance structures, secured lending, and property-related security
* Familiarity with Land Registry and Companies House requirements relevant to Real Estate Finance matters
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple Real Estate Finance matters simultaneously and meet deadlines
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
* Experience acting for lenders on UK Real Estate Finance transactions
* Exposure to development finance, investment finance, or portfolio Real Estate Finance work
* Experience using document management and e-signing platforms for Real Estate Finance deals
