Project Support Technician - Highworth, Wiltshire, SN6 7NAContract: PermanentSalary: Offering a starting salary from 29,000 to 37,440 per annum, depending on skills and experienceWe are currently looking for a full-time, permanent, Project Support Technician within the South-East Thames Valley Region. In this site-based role, you will be ensuring the delivery of project work in the support of the mains upgrade program within Thames Valley. You will undertake operational tasks, resolve customer issues, and carry out network valve activities with minimal disruption to water supplies. This front-line position ensures the continued success of our business we simply cant operate without your skills and commitment.What youll be doing as the Project Support TechnicianInvestigating network issues to resolve pressure abnormalities, leakage queries, metering concerns, and supply interruptionsLiaising with all stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery, whilst upholding Thames Water values and behavioursSupporting teams on Pressure Management Maintenance when neededSupporting the completion of checking key High Consequence Valves and High-Risk Valves to maintain business compliancePromoting health and safety by modelling best practice and identifying improvementsBase Location: Highworth SN6 7NA, Bourne End SL8 5NTHours: Monday- Friday, 38 Hours per week, plus opportunities for overtimeTo thrive in this role, the essential criteria youll need are:Full UK driving licence, as this role involves travelling between multiple sites. You will be provided with a van and the relevant tools/equipmentAbility to work autonomously as well as within a highly organised teamAdaptability and a can-do attitude, as you will be required to work in all weather conditions and tackle a range of different challengesIt would be beneficial for you to have:Knowledge of the clean water network, and an understanding of domestic plumbing, water mains, & leakage detectionA water industry qualification, or current certifications that cover Water Hygiene, NRSWA unit 2, disinfection, sampling, flushing, valve operations, and/or CALMFirst Aid TrainingAn understanding of the Permit to Work systemWhats in it for you?Competitive salary starting from 29,000 to 37,440 per annum, depending on skills and experience24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 days with the length of service.
