We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to work as part of our small core team. In this role, you will support multiple television series productions, including Professor T, Patience, and Bookish. You will report to the Production Accounts Manager (who primarily works remotely) and liaise with the Accounts Assistant in the Eagle Eye Drama corporate team. Responsibilities include:
1. Processing invoices and expenses
2. Entering invoices to be paid on the BACS run
3. Managing purchase orders
4. Reconciling pre-paid cards and production floats
5. Undertaking bank reconciliations for multi-currency accounts
6. Updating weekly/monthly cast and crew payroll sheets
7. Posting payroll journals
8. Undertaking additional ad-hoc projects, tasks, and duties of a similar responsibility level
Requirements include:
* Previous experience of working within an office environment
* A strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
* Strong data entry and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Good time management and ability to work to strict deadlines
* Basic IT skills including Excel
* Experience with Xero accounting software (or similar)
* Basic knowledge of VAT and its requirements
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team
Experience in calculating cast and crew payroll, working within the television production industry, using Team Engine software, Approval Max, or Barclays.net, would be advantageous.
