NMGH New Hospital Business Support Manager

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is transforming healthcare in North Manchester through the North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) Redevelopment Programme, which will deliver a new hospital and health campus at the existing North Manchester General Hospital site.
This major investment will support the transformation of how services are delivered at the site, creating modern facilities that support world‑class clinical care for our communities.
The Business Support Manager role provides a unique opportunity to be part of one of the largest public‑sector health transformation programmes in Manchester. The role will deliver a dedicated business support function, alongside PA and diary management support to the Project Director and Workstream Leads, and will manage an administrative team, support strategic meetings, and lead the operational running of the New Hospital Project Team.
Key responsibilities
* Provide a dedicated and high‑quality business support function.
* Support the operational management of the New Hospital Project Team.
* Manage the project administration function.
* Support the implementation of effective financial management procedures.
* Support the preparation of reports and implementation of an effective PMO function.
* Provide dedicated administrative support to Committees and Boards.
* Develop and implement effective office management and Project Team operating procedures.
* Manage the Project Team administrative function.
* Provide dedicated support to key personnel and project delivery workstreams.
Person specification
* Relevant experience and/or qualifications equivalent to postgraduate diploma level.
* Strong experience of managing diaries, arranging meetings, and taking accurate minutes.
* Experience of implementing digital project administration processes and procedures.
* Experience of managing staff and/or a team.
* Significant experience working with senior managers and directors.
* Significant experience at a senior administrative level.
* Knowledge and understanding of technical design processes and technical drawings.
* Knowledge of Project Management processes.
