Overview
Join a dedicated, small research and development team at Dorset HealthCare. This fixed‑term role is an excellent opportunity to support a varied portfolio of research projects across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the delivery of first‑class quality care to research participants and researchers.
* Support a portfolio of clinical trials in accordance with trial protocols, laboratory manuals and all relevant regulatory standards.
* Collect and manage research data and study documentation, including screening, consenting, interviewing participants, recording data, entering activity data and extracting information from databases.
* Provide clinical and administrative support to Research Nurses/Research Practitioners, performing clinical tests, investigations, phlebotomy and laboratory work in sample processing and shipping.
* May support and be responsible for relevant studies in your own right.
* Work across all Dorset HealthCare locations, including the Weymouth Research Hub.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Phlebotomy (blood‑taking) trained and able to engage with patients in a friendly and supportive manner.
* Experience in clinical trial support, data collection and laboratory work.
* Enhanced DBS check required; the Trust will cover the cost.
* Fixed‑term role. For current NHS staff, the position is offered on a secondment basis only and requires permission to be released.
* Applicants requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible for this position.
Employment Information
This is a fixed‑term role. The Trust will cover the cost of an Enhanced DBS check. Neu secondment arrangements apply for existing NHS staff. Applications will be accepted until Monday 27 Apr 2026.
