At its site in Middlewich, Cheshire, UK (with immediate central links to the M6), Indaver operates a solvent recycling facility; accepting hazardous and non-hazardous (waste) solvents, providing bespoke recovery solutions, Indaver is able to support the customers with lab analysis, pilot scale trials, and recycling at commercial scale.
A highly skilled and experienced workforce, including chemical engineers, engineers, chemists, and senior plant operators, are at your service. With continuous investment and innovation to enhance existing facilities and new equipment to meet the needs of the customer base.
The BU Manager Solvents holds endtoend responsibility for the Solvents business within Indaver IWS and reports directly to the Board of Directors. The primary mission is to stabilize, optimize and ensure the safe, compliant and profitable operation of the Solvents plants in Ireland and the United Kingdom, with full P&L ownership and clear SHE accountability for the business.
Once a robust operational foundation is established, the BU Manager drives the growth and development agenda for Solvents in the IE/UK region.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Ensure safe, compliant and stable plant operations within a highly regulated 24/7 environment.
2. Hold full accountability for SHE performance across the Solvents business.
3. Achieve reliable, efficient and costeffective operations aligned with group standards.
4. Own the financial performance of the Solvents activities, including cost control and profitability.
5. Define, monitor and deliver business and financial objectives in line with IWS/Group strategy
6. To develop, organise and follow-up the Ireland/UK sales strategy from both an input perspective as well as an output perspective. Thorough consideration should be given to aligning with the wider groups targets.
7. To develop, execute and meet business and financial targets and results for Indaver Solvents IE/UK in line and supported by the Group. In this, a good balance should be maintained between on the one hand the BUs autonomy and accountability for results and on the other hand the necessary standardisation and coordination in line with Indaver Group needs.
8. Responsible for Indaver Solvents IE/UKs cost control and monitoring of profitability. For this the BU Manager takes the necessary actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the regional activities.
9. Lead the BU organisation with a focus on culture, capability development and transparent communication.
10. The BU Manager leverages the Group Shared Service Centers to ensure the necessary expertise and support.
11. Work across the organisation to ensure effective delivery of workforce planning, engineering support, IT stability, and other Groupwide processes.
Experience and Qualifications Required
12. University degree in Business and/or Engineering with good knowledge of chemistry
13. More than 10 years of industrial managerial experience preferably in an international context
14. Strong people manager
15. Drive and organize a business to operational excellence
16. Knowledge of waste legislation is a plus
17. Knowledge of solvent recycling market is key
18. Knowledge of UK waste market is a plus
