Overview
The Postholder will carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of recovery based care programmes and the setting of standards of care to young people/adults and their families experiencing the early stages of psychosis. They will work closely with Mental Health Practitioners and other members of the team to improve outcomes for service users.
The Early Intervention team consists of nurses, social workers, support workers, psychologists, consultants and doctors. It is a friendly workplace with a supportive team, hybrid working and working a 4 day week is an option (8-6) depending on service needs.

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.

Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments of service users needs, deliver care and care allocation
* Responsible for managing a caseload and providing responsive input to those within wider team caseload.
* To have the clinical knowledge and skills to provide individual care plans.
* Effectively Manage risk and have the ability to make prompt decisions using sound clinical expertise/knowledge.
* To be responsible for delivering effective care.
* To promote education around Psychosis in schools/ GP surgeries / Other locations
* To keep abreast of new clinical developments within Early Intervention in Psychosis and to promote the service positively, locally and nationally.
