Responsibilities
* Weekly pre-work checks of cruise and operational assets.
* Berth prepping for cruise operations, including fender, passenger boarding bridge & gangway positioning, including pre-user checks. Terminal walkthroughs checking the facilities.
* Assist the day maintenance team / other departments as business requirements allow and is required.
* Reactive maintenance port wide on assets which contribute to the smooth running of Southampton Port.
* Arrival / Departure operations of cruise ships calling to Southampton entailing the installation of passenger boarding bridges, crew gangways, water supply. Throughout the call the shift team liaise with the terminal liaison officer on a reactive basis to attend breakdowns / failures.
Skills and Experience
* Mixed electrical and mechanical role, with a preference for electrical experience.
* Valid UK driving license.
* Ability to work at heights.
* NVQ Level 3 in an apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
* 17th or 18th Edition certification not necessary but would be desirable.
Shift Pattern
Our shift pattern follows a 21-day rotation cycle, which includes early or late start and finishing times, as well as weekend work. The early shift starts at 4:30 AM and ends at 1:30 PM, while the late shift begins at 1:15 PM and concludes at 10:15 PM.
