This is a clinical management position assisting and deputising for the BPDS Operational Manager with the co-ordination of the Closure of a dental clinic and opening of a mobile unit.
The postholder will be responsible for the delegation of tasks to the Dental Nurses and will project manage the moves with accountability for all workstreams relating to dental equipment/medical devices and radiology.
The successful candidate will be radiography and IV qualified with excellent knowledge of IPC.
They will be experienced in managing projects such as the closure of clinics and have strong leadership qualities.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure IPC standards are implemented, maintained and monitored
2. Write and implement a strategy to decant all dental equipment/consumables and radiography equipment to other sites/storage.
3. Chair task and finish groups for areas of responsibility
4. Liaise with other project leads to coordinate moves
5. Deputise as required for the Operational Manager
6. Other duties as detailed within the KSF outline

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Able to identify medical devices and work with an asset register
Radiography qualified and able to support setting up radiography provision on a mobile unit
Able to write IPC protocols for a mobile unit
Able to work with different staff groups to ensure clinical aspect of decant is completed within guidelines and procedures.
·The post holder is required to work at a level of autonomy that may require makingdecisions related to the organisation of resources and service provision e.g. monitoring resources, stock and skill mix, providing reports etc in order that senior management may arrive at informed decisions.

·There will be a responsibility to investigate and manage incidents and complaints.
·The postholder will be required to liaise with other agencies to assist in the efficient delivery of dental services e.g. commissioners, QTS, Medical devices, Medical physics.
