Job objectives and responsibilities

1. Workingas part of a specialised delivery team who aim to provide excellent levels of service.
2. Working40 hours per week which may include variable shift patterns.
3. Havea flexible approach to working (overtime/shift work/weekend work) depends upon the client needs.
4. Havea positive “can do” attitude with the ability to problem solve.
5. Act as an ambassador for Mitie Water & Air.
6. Behaviours – havea desire to be professional, well-mannered and polite at all times
7. Able to follow to instructions safely (method and risk assessment),
8. Be Health and Safety aware, including all aspects of the direct task being undertaken including your surrounding environment.
9. Have the ability to complete the allocated servicing work and the associated reporting diligently and in a timely manner.
10. Have good clear communication skills, understand the need to keep your line manager frequently updated.
11. Be a strong team player, who is self-motivated, works proactively to an exacting standard atall times.
12. Be an honest, organised and trustworthy individual, who presentable to the client and proud to represent Mitie.
13. Willingness to undertake training and development whichis linked to the role when offered.
14. The role will require the use of a PC, PDA, Tablet for reporting and hand tools, chemicals, access equipment and PPE.
15. Role can involve workingaway from home from time to time whichinvolves overnight stays as per business needs.
16. · The individual will be required to work at height using access equipment so must be physically fit.

Main duties

17. Act as a representative of Mitie Aircarrying out service workas detailed by your line manager and supervisor.
18. Completeservicing work and technical reports/ paperwork as required. Completed in manual and electronic formats
19. Abilityto perform analytical surveys of ventilation systems prior to start of work
20. Carry out allocated service/remedial repair workwithin agreed time schedules atspecific locations.
21. Adhere to the clients and Mitie company's Health & Safety policy, quality procedures including site access requirements at all times.
22. Understand and follow the relevant industry guidelines and bespoke customer specifications (explained by the air operations supervisor)
23. Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal workinghours. 8 hours in any 24 hour period Monday – Friday.
24. Be willing to supportweekend workas directed by the client contract.
25. Be flexible and willing to supportteamand department. Ventilation Hygiene Ducting Inspections and Cleans:
26. Complete ductwork cleaning tasks within a team environment:
27. Inspection and assessment experience beneficial.
28. Kitchen extract cleaning in accordance with TR/19.
29. Supply and extract ventilation cleaning in accordance with TR/19.
30. The use of cleaning fluids, brushes, scrappers and sprays will be required Complete Fire Damper testing tasks which include:
31. Testing in accordance with BS: & RRFSO
32. An understanding of compartmentalisation strategy would be beneficial.
33. Ability to manually test the operation of inline fire damper device.
34. Dampers are located within various types of ducting located above ceilings, which requires the careful removal of ceiling tiles and access hatches to simulate the damper operation
35. Documenting and recording the damper condition and physical location for the service report is key.
36. CompleteAir Quality tasks which include:
37. Collection of air quality data and samples.
38. Completion of air quality reports.
39. LEV experience beneficial (but not essential)
40. Understand the guidelines set by HSE and CIBSE in regard to workplace exposure limits

Person Specification

41. Able to workindividuallyor as a member of a team.
42. Abilityand knowledge to use computers/PDA's
43. Basic understandingof Microsoft Office programmes.
44. Full driving licence required withno less than 12 months driving experience on a full licence
45. No more than 6 points current or pending on the driving licence and no driving bans within last 5 years.
