We are looking for experienced, adaptable social workers who thrive on new challenges and are committed to providing excellent services to children, young people and families in Swansea.
Are you an experienced, adaptable social worker who thrives on new challenges and is committed to providing excellent services to children, young people and families?
A peripatetic senior social worker plays a crucial role in child and family services by providing flexible and responsive support, moving into vacancies wherever they are needed most, based on the current demands of the service. This dynamic approach helps to maintain stability and consistency in the care and support provided to children and families, ensuring that we are always able to provide the highest standards of social work support.
Peripatetic senior social workers are adaptable with a broad skill set, to assist in maintaining good quality social work practice across our wide range of services in Child and Family.
You may be required to spend periods of time in any of our dedicated teams, for example Single Point of Contact, The Academy, Integrated Safeguarding Hub (ISH), Supported Care Planning, Child Disability Team, Looked After Children's Team, Foster Wales Swansea, Fostering and Kinship, Residential Services, BAYS, YJS, CMET or the Learning and Innovation team.
In Swansea, we remain committed to using the Signs of Safety model of practice, embedded over the past 14 years, and have developed our family networking approach to compliment this. An innovative and committed service, we are proud to have been awarded the 2024 Social Care Wales 'Building Bright Futures for Children and Families' accolade.
