JOB DESCRIPTION
The Asset Manager is responsible for managing preventative maintenance activities and maintaining the company’s production lines, second operations, and supporting equipment. They will develop and implement strategies to ensure proper preventative care, repair, and replacement of assets to maximize lifespan and performance. The Asset Manager will also handle budgeting for asset expenditures, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Hadley Group has an internal Corrective Maintenance team working closely with the Machine Maintenance Manager, aiming to shift towards a more preventative maintenance approach.
Assets include large power presses, printers, and forklifts. The role involves re-establishing a preventative maintenance culture and building a foundation for a new department. As systems develop, provide technical leadership to redefine asset care within the business. Collaborate with Maintenance, Projects, Design, and Build teams to manage the full asset lifecycle.

THE ROLE
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to ensure optimal asset performance.
* Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations, conducting inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
* Create and maintain a comprehensive asset maintenance plan, including schedules, repair protocols, and replacement strategies.
* Monitor asset expenditures, ensuring cost-effective practices and financial adherence. Collaborate with facility managers and operations teams for effective maintenance aligned with company goals.
* Maintain the asset register and documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
* Establish Autonomous Maintenance documentation for all assets, support operational teams, and monitor delivery.
* Review asset performance to support informed decision-making.
* Manage service contracts with suppliers, ensuring training and contact information for operations teams.
* Handle management duties such as holiday planning, WFH arrangements, absence management, conflict resolution, and covering for other managers when needed.
* Manage critical spares, including inventory systems and stock levels.
* Oversee the introduction and decommissioning of assets.
* Ensure all assets are properly identified for maintenance ticketing and TPM activities.
* Support Maintenance and Design teams with technical recommendations for budgets and investment plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
* Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends to continuously improve maintenance processes and strategies.
