Role Overview
The Technical Services Manager will lead the Technical Team, overseeing product safety, quality, legality, and authenticity for the UK market. This role involves liaising with customers and suppliers, maintaining certifications like BRC and HACCP, managing product specifications, conducting audits, and championing food safety culture.
Responsibilities
1. Lead technical services management across all aspects including specifications, audits, and compliance standards.
2. Manage customer product complaints and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
3. Lead and develop a team of two technical staff, organizing training and development.
4. Maintain certifications and manage documentation related to food safety and quality.
5. Travel within the UK and internationally as needed.
Candidate Profile
Degree or HND in a food-related discipline with at least 5 years of experience in a technical role within a BRC-accredited food manufacturing environment in the UK or Ireland. Strong knowledge of retail and manufacturing technical standards, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships are essential. A full driving license is required.
