Salary £50,000 £110,000 (Depending on Experience) + Travel Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension
Blaymires Recruitment is representing a leading fire safety engineering consultancy with in-house construction capabilities, seeking a Fire Engineer to join their team.
We welcome applicants at all levels of experiencefrom those just starting out in fire safety to seasoned professionals.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Fire Engineer to support projects across London and the surrounding areas. The role is perfect for someone who is passionate about fire safety, enjoys technical problem-solving, and wants to work on a variety of buildingsfrom residential blocks to complex commercial sites.
You will be involved in:
* Conducting Type 14 Fire Risk Assessments in line with UK guidance.
* Preparing Retrospective Fire Strategy Reports, ensuring compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act 2022.
* Reviewing existing fire safety provisions, identifying risks, and recommending improvements.
* Liaising with clients, building managers, and design teams to provide clear, practical advice.
* Keeping up to date with evolving fire safety regulations and best practice.
We are looking for someone with:
* A genuine interest in fire safety and building regulations.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Experience conducting Type 14 Fire Risk Assessments (depending on experience).
* Experience producing fire strategy reports (including retrospective strategies).
* Working towards or already holding professional membership (e.g. IFE, EngTech, IEng, or CEng).
* A relevant degree in Fire Safety Engineering, Building Surveying, or related discipline (advantageous).
