At the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, we are passionate about driving innovation and delivering exceptional care for our patients. Our Pharmacy Aseptic Team has taken over a brand new, state‑of‑the‑art aseptic unit and we are looking for an assistant technical officer to support the commissioning of the new unit and the delivery of a high quality aseptic service.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in the provision of the broad range of services in the aseptic unit under their supervision.
* Prepare cytotoxic, monoclonal antibodies and clinical trials in a safe and efficient manner according to Good Manufacturing Practice and National Standards.
* Provide pharmacy service including dispensing drugs to patients and other supportive duties in the aseptic unit.
* Support the work of the Aseptic Services during early start, late night, weekend and bank holiday service.
* Contribute to the development and future‑proofing of facilities to meet the growing needs of the service.
Qualifications
* Applicants from primary and secondary care preferred with aseptic experience, but full training will be provided.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
