Overview
Clarke is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Engineering team and take ownership of structural design across a wide range of telecom infrastructure projects. This is a critical technical role for someone with deep structural engineering expertise, telecoms experience, and a proactive mindset. The role can be carried out remotely, or from office locations in Manchester, Glasgow or Redhill, with travel to site involved.
Responsibilities
* Lead the structural design process from feasibility to build-ready documentation.
* Produce and sign off Planning Drawings, Detailed Designs, and structural calculations.
* Conduct feasibility and design surveys, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Liaise with clients, site providers, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and Health & Safety standards.
* Manage internal and external CAD quality and feedback.
* Support cost-saving initiatives through material reuse and efficient design.
What We’re Looking For
* Bachelors Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
* Strong CAD quality assurance skills.
* Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and remote collaboration.
* Knowledge of CDM 2015 and Health & Safety regulations.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
* Qualifications in structural design.
* Experience in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
* Commercial awareness and ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis.
