Overview
3rd shift Assembly Technician, Cleanroom. Accurately manufacture and supply products in accordance with the established specification statements in a clean room environment. This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. * Location: Wilton, CT
* Contract role: 12 – 18 months / possible conversion
* Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
* Salary Range: $18 - $24/hr + shift differential. Based on experience and education

Accountabilities
* Quality: Produce products in accordance with established specifications. Observe and report regular and ongoing problems in product construction or operation, support solutions, contribute to product and process improvements, work with Technical Product Documentation (TPD) to ensure completeness, and discuss changes with the Production Technician or Production Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Production: Manufacture and deliver high-level, complex systems according to established procedures; solve less complex technical problems that may occur.
* New products: Actively contribute to pilot production and transition to volume production; collaborate with the PE on development and improvement of TPD, processes, records, and other topics; observe and report anticipated problems affecting production and qualification capabilities.
* Know-how: Acquire knowledge of new and established products and processes, including modifications, sub-modules, and complete systems; use this knowledge to aid effective and efficient production and provide diagnostic knowledge to solve problems; follow training processes with colleagues.
* Planning: Execute plan and activities as assigned by area supervisor and monitor practical progress.
* Teamwork: Support good teamwork by seeking solutions and implementing department tasks based on input from others.
Experience
* Lean Manufacturing Training (e.g., Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.).
* Strong analytical skills – capable of translating requirements into executable schedules.
* Lean Manufacturing Processes.
* Must be able to work in a Cleanroom environment.
* Cross-train and support cross-functional groups.
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
* Analytical thinker, structured, able to work with available information.
* Service-oriented, good communicator and team player.
* Strong computer skills; SAP and LabVIEW systems a plus.
Education
* Minimum of a High School diploma or GED required
