Overview
Exciting opportunity for a registered practitioner to join the Diabetes Podiatry specialist team as a Diabetes Podiatry Clinical Educator. The role is 60 % focused on education and 40 % on clinical practice, providing high‑quality care to patients with diabetes across the trust.
Responsibilities
* Understand current training offers within the team and co‑produce a sustainable, high‑quality training framework in partnership with community teams.
* Identify learning needs, design, deliver and evaluate ongoing education and training packages.
* Provide high‑quality education across the trust, raising awareness for people with diabetes and learning disabilities.
* Act as a clinical and professional role model, maintaining and developing exceptional standards of care.
* Promote a culture of education and clinical development within the service.
* Work clinically as a Diabetes podiatrist, delivering safe and accessible patient care.
* Collaborate with other specialities and professional groups to enhance education and clinical development.
* Model compassionate and inclusive leadership, shaping a collective leadership culture within the trust.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered podiatrist with up‑to‑date HCPC registration.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, highly motivated and committed to high‑quality education and guidance.
* Experience in delivering education, training and quality improvement initiatives.
* Ability to innovate, develop pathways and lead change within a multidisciplinary team.
* Applicants who meet the Fit and Proper Person Requirements will require additional pre‑employment checks in line with CQC and NHS England statutory guidance.
