Working from a home base you will be the technical lead on the more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients.
* Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
* Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance related issues
* Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
* Producing high quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
* Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
* Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
* Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
* Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
About you:
Our client is seeking someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases.
You will ideally have:
* MRICS or MCIOB or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
* Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
* A flexible mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
* UK driving licence
