A top US Law Firm is looking to hire an Account Coordinator for their close knit London based offiice on a permanent basis. Salary of circa £50,000 Full time office working hours, followed by 4 days / 1 remote upon settling in the position Offices located close to Chancery Lane station and City Thameslink station This role will be suitable for an Legal Cashier / Accounts Coordinator with minimum 4 years experience within a law firm’s accounts department handling Client Account, Accounts Payable, Professional Disbursements, Expenses, and Billing duties. Accounts Coordinator Responsibilities include: Oversee the purchase ledger function; opening new suppliers, ensuring all invoices and expenses have been coded and authorised Preparation of supplier payment runs, ensuring all invoices are paid in accordance with the supplier’s payment terms Ensure all supplier statements are fully reconciled against the purchase ledger Deal with queries from suppliers including replying to chasing letters and phone calls Daily monitoring of the firm's client and office bank accounts Reviewing of office receipts and payments to ensure SAR compliance Posting of all daily office bank transactions Responsible for drafting bills and follow up with Partners to investigate outstanding WIP Assisting with credit control duties; sending statements and copy bills to clients and partners Upkeep of the London office accounts filing to include regular archiving of redundant files Preparation of the monthly personal account bills to include approval and posting in time for payroll processing Accounts Assistant Requirements; Current legal cashier experience running multiple client account ledgers Confident knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and VAT for solicitors Working knowledge of Elite 3E and Chrome River preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel, preferably at intermediate/advanced level Ability to work unsupervised, handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure
