We pay an attractive salary of £39,152 - £41,771 and offer access to training and development opportunities. The Social Worker will provide timely and responsive assessment care management services to older people with physical difficulties, to adults aged over 65 with mental health issues, and to younger people with dementia who are considered to require care and support to maximise and maintain their independence and dignity. The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for Social Work with Older People and be committed to maintaining high standards of Social Work intervention.
Qualifications
* Diploma/ Degree in Social Work or predecessor qualification.
* Knowledge of the current social care legislative framework and national drivers within Adult social.
* Experience of assessment and care planning.
* A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business purposes.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and a comprehensive screening process will be undertaken on all successful applicants. This will include an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service. You must possess a Diploma/Degree in Social Work or predecessor and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Care Wales (or able to transfer from another recognised body). The current registration requirements state that completion of the Consolidation of Practice qualification within your first 3 years of practice is mandatory (if you qualified after 1st April 2016). Failure to successfully complete this qualification will result in you being unable to renew your Social Work Registration or practice as a Social Worker.
