Role: 2nd Line IT Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £36,000 + 20% bonus

Our client, a leading organisation in the technology services sector, is hiring a 2nd Line IT Engineer to support a fast-paced, multi-client environment. This role offers the chance to take ownership of escalated technical issues while contributing to project work and continuous service improvement.
What you’ll do
Provide 2nd Line support across customer-facing and remote channels
Manage incidents, service requests, and escalations
Configure PCs, servers, firewalls, and networking components
Complete daily system checks including backups and reporting
Maintain documentation and ensure accurate activity logging
Support project delivery and internal IT when required
Stay current with emerging technologies
Communicate updates clearly to customers and stakeholders
Assist with quotes for equipment and services
You’ll work closely with service desk teams, network infrastructure specialists, and customer stakeholders to ensure service quality and SLA performance.
What we’re looking for
3+ years’ experience within an MSP or ISP environment
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & Group Policies
Experience with Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online
Office 365 administration including Azure Sync
Desktop support across Windows, Mac, and RDS
Networking knowledge including TCP/IP
Excellent communication and customer-management skills
Experience working in time-sensitive, high-pressure environments
