IT Service Engineer Job Description
The IT Service Engineer is responsible for providing second-line technical support to clients.
Main Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality technical assistance to customers via phone, email, or in-person.
* Log and track all support incidents with accurate updates, ensuring timely resolution.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
* Communicate effectively with clients throughout the support process, keeping them informed of progress.
* Maintain adherence to industry standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a helpdesk environment, delivering exceptional customer service.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, and Microsoft Windows OS.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server, Active Directory, and Domain Services, as well as backup/restore tools (e.g., Arcserve) and virus/malware protection software.
* A self-motivated individual with a proactive attitude, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
