Offer description

AXA Health Royal Tunbridge Wells, England, United Kingdom

Overview

It’s an exciting time to join the Digital team at AXA Health. With significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses, we are transforming and delivering new digital services to our customers while streamlining and automating our business processes. We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to help deliver our digital roadmap, develop our people and capabilities, and support our engineering strategy to drive improvements across all teams.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a product‑led operating model. All teams align with value streams, ensuring we have the necessary resources to take an idea from conception to completion with minimal handoffs. The current focus is on developing our Single Digital Platform based on Salesforce, .NET, Azure services, and React front‑end web applications.

As a Test Engineer you will learn about recent technology trends and influence the organisation to make the right choices. Our engineers are highly collaborative, respect opinions, and strive for continual improvement. You will contribute to a motivating atmosphere where people feel energized and enthusiastic about achieving common goals.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance time between home and the office. You will work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, potentially moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. The local office locations include Leeds, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. Flexible working arrangements are also available and can be discussed with Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

* Work as part of an Agile delivery team, using your skills and experience to identify bugs early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
* Collaborate closely with development teams to streamline handover times and define completion criteria.
* Manage our automated test pipelines, constantly seeking ways to increase test reliability and optimise coverage.
* Join our AXA Health Test Guild and be part of a community of fellow test professionals.

What you’ll bring (Qualifications)

* Practical experience testing web front‑ends and APIs.
* Experience using Playwright, BrowserStack, Percy, K6 or Axe DevTools.
* Creative thinking and an exploratory approach to manual testing.
* Hands‑on experience writing and maintaining automated code‑driven tests against the .NET and React tech stacks.
* Experience working in an Agile development team.
* Ability to conduct non‑functional testing, with a focus on Compatibility, Accessibility, and Performance testing.
* Experience using GitHub Copilot is advantageous.
* Previous work with Azure pipelines is desirable.

What we offer

* Competitive annual salary of up to £50,000, dependent on experience.
* Annual company & performance‑based bonus.
* Contributory pension scheme (up to 12% employer contributions).
* Life Assurance (up to 10× annual salary).
* Private medical cover.
* 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
* Opportunity to buy up to 5 extra days leave or sell up to 5 days leave.
* AXA employee discounts.
* Wellbeing services & resources.
