This is an exciting opportunity to join Birmingham City Council as a Service Charge Assistant. This is a new team within the Housing Management service, the role will involve assisting the Service Charge Manager on all aspects of tenant and leasehold service charges across the city. Birmingham City Council manage over 6,500 leaseholders and 59,000 Council tenants.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Service Charge Manager on all aspects of tenant and leasehold service charges across the city.
* Support and assist the service charge function to maximise income.
* Contribute to property-related finances or service charge accounting as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Knowledge or experience dealing with service charges for tenants and leaseholders.
* Good analytical skills, organisation, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
* Experience with property-related finances or service charge accounting is desirable.
