PURPOSE:
The setting up and operation of production welding in a safe and efficient manner.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Carry out production/fabrication welding using MIG following standard operating procedures as directed by the Manager or with others involved in the job.
2. Manufacture or assist in manufacturing tooling necessary for producing components.
3. Be fully responsible for the quality of your work, focusing on achieving zero defects and a right-first-time approach.
4. Perform routine and minor maintenance, including good housekeeping within the assembly/welding department.
5. Inform the Manager early about any special tools or tooling needed to minimize delays.
6. Assist other sections as required.
7. Undertake necessary training (internal or external) to perform your duties effectively.
8. Continuously improve efficiency by increasing productivity, reducing costs, and suggesting improvements to the Manager.
9. Report machine or equipment faults and suggest improvements to the Manager.
10. Maintain a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude.
11. Perform any other tasks reasonably requested and be willing to train others to the best of your ability.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experienced MIG welder; TIG experience is beneficial.
Structured and diligent approach to work.
Ability to read engineering drawings and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
