Newarthill Medical Practice is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We offer flexibility in scheduling sessions and a competitive pay package.
We are a welcoming, supportive, and friendly practice with around 3,100 patients. Our team includes one GP partner, one ANP, four administrative staff members, and a practice manager. We also benefit from additional support services such as Mental Health Nurse Support, Occupational Therapy, and NHS Pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments and examinations for patients with chronic illnesses, provide treatment, advice, and coordinate additional care when needed. (A senior clinician will be available for guidance and supervision.)
* Interpret test results and recommend or prescribe appropriate treatment plans.
* Show a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new protocols, healthcare technologies, and best practices, with the ability to work independently.
* Maintain high standards of care, demonstrating empathy, respect, and professionalism with patients, families, and colleagues in line with NMC standards.
* Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a primary care environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient care processes.
