We’re working with a genuinely impressive business who are looking to bring in an Assistant Management Accountant on a 12-month contract.
Salary: GBP28000 - GBP35000 per annum
You’ll be surrounded by a strong finance team, given real responsibility, and trusted to get involved in the kind of work that usually takes years to access.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Posting journals (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
* Cashflow tracking and forecasting
* Variance analysis and reporting
* VAT returns and compliance support
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Year-end and audit preparation
* Working closely with both finance and non-finance teams
Who this would suit
You don’t need to have done everything before, but you do need the foundations.
* Have some exposure to management accounts and want more
* Are early in your finance career but solid on debits & credits and ready to step up
Alongside that:
* Strong Excel skills are key (you will be working with large datasets)
* Good understanding of double-entry
* Immediately available or on a short notice period
* The kind of person who wants to learn and gets stuck in
