Job summary To support the Professional Head of Imaging and Directorate Manager in the leadership, management, and delivery of a high quality, clinically effective and cost-efficient Imaging Service including:o Supporting the leadership, management, and co-ordination of all Imaging Serviceso To ensure all relevant professional standards in the Imaging services are met.o To ensure delivery of the clinical governance and risk management agenda within the Imaging Directorateo To take responsibility for the overall training and professional development of the clinical teams (non-medical) including Radiography, Sonography, Healthcare scientists, Clinical Technologists, Assistant Practitioners, Imaging Department Assistants.o The development of the services in line with both local and national agendas. Main duties of the job To be accountable for service delivery, liaising with other organisations, agencies, including the voluntary sector, as appropriate. To ensure quality, performance and professional standards are met within Imaging Services and the appropriate governance arrangements are in place. To deputise for the Professional Head of Imaging and Directorate Manager for selected duties as required. To provide professional leadership for clinical Imaging staff To support on-going evaluation of current Imaging service delivery including complex analysis of activity data, productivity, staffing, budgets, clinical skills, contracts, other providers and current literature. To support the Head of Imaging in delivery of quality, performance and professional standards which will be reported and presented at appropriate forums.
