The Role
The club is seeking a First Team Performance Analyst – Women’s to work as part of the Women’s First Team analysis team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high‑level performance analysis services to players and coaching staff across all areas including training, match preparation, and individual development. The role will report to the Head of Analysis and will be based primarily at the club’s Training Centre in Enfield.
The position will involve working irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays, in line with the Women’s First Team schedule.
Job Purpose
To support the analysis needs of the Women’s First Team by delivering performance insights across training, matchday, and post‑match activity. The role will provide technical and tactical analysis to support team performance, player development, with a big focus on opposition preparation.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the opposition analysis by creating pre‑match video and data reports and present to the technical staff (team, unit, set pieces, individuals).
* Deliver pre‑match/opposition meetings to players.
* Support live matchday operations including filming, live coding and in‑game feedback to technical staff.
* Film and code training sessions to support team, unit, and individual development and provide insights to the technical team.
* Organise and manage video content across platforms (e.g. Hudl, internal servers) for staff and player access.
* Assist in maintaining performance databases to track team and individual trends across the season.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the team’s game model and performance philosophy.
* Assist with academy analysts with adhoc tasks when required.
* Maintain analysis equipment and software, ensuring optimal function and usage.
* Assist in producing projects/insights in relation to our game model and current trends in the WSL/European Leagues.
* Attend internal CPD sessions and represent the club at external analysis events as required.
Personal Specification & Experience
* Experienced working within a professional football environment.
* Demonstrable experience in filming and coding football training sessions and matches.
* Experience using Hudl Sportscode for performance analysis.
* Strong IT skills and proficiency with video editing and presentation software.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to players and coaches.
* Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Undergraduate degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* Experience using additional software such as Hudl Studio, Matchtracker.
* Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MSc in Performance Analysis or Sports Coaching).
* Coaching experience or qualifications.
* Knowledge of women’s football and the Barclays Women’s Super League.
* Experience using additional telestration software such as Piero.
