Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team of Allied Health Professionals at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will start with a rotation within the MSK Outpatient service at Ormskirk District General Hospital. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will rotate across our hospital sites at Southport District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital, with potential opportunities to work across other sites within the Trust.
This position offers a broad spectrum of rotations and learning opportunities to consolidate skills, including:
* Medicine & Surgery
* Discharge to Assess Therapy-led Unit
* North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre
* Stroke
* Elective Orthopaedics
* Trauma and Orthopaedics
* Accident & Emergency
* MSK
* Cardiac Rehabilitation
The successful candidate can expect structured supervision and support, with opportunities for further training and education. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients in ward or community settings, supporting service development, supervising junior staff, and participating in on-call rotas if applicable.

* Assess and diagnose referred patients, develop and evaluate treatment plans
* Participate in extended working rotas and on-call duties
* Record and report clinical findings accurately
* Share knowledge with colleagues and patients
* Coordinate with hospital and community staff for seamless patient care
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
* Educate and develop students and health professionals
* Engage in professional development, audits, and research
* Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and safety regulations
Line Management/Supervisory Responsibilities
* Monitor service demand and resource management
* Assist in department management and staff supervision
