Base pay range

Hours: 30/36/37.5/42/48

Salary: £12.90 to £13.10 Hour A higher rate is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care

The role consists of shift work and weekends on a rota basis. Do you need more flexibility? Overview Of The Role

The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and lead by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference to people’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Key duties


* Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?

Buckfield House has well trained and experienced staff who can support people with autism, dual diagnosis of autism and learning disability with challenging behaviour, and other complex needs. The staff team are friendly, conscientious and very committed to supporting the people in their care to live happy, meaningful lives. Staffing levels are assessed and maintained according to the individual needs of the people we support. Buckfield House is situated on the outskirts of the market town of Leominster with its beautiful priory church. There are supermarkets and specialist shops, a hospital, GP and dental services, sports, leisure and educational facilities as well as a bus terminal and main-line rail station which connects to Shrewsbury, London Paddington and the Midlands.
