We are looking to appoint four energetic and motivated individuals with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to work as part of our cluster pupil support services as Family Engagement Officers. These roles are funded by a WG grant.
The role will involve working with primary aged learners and families across primary schools in the Eastern cluster.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the school attendance officers, senior leaders and key stakeholders to build positive and constructive relationships with our learners and their families.
The postholder will provide bespoke support to our most vulnerable learners and their families so that they can maximise their opportunities within the learning community, engaging with relevant agencies as required. In particular, you will develop areas such as wellbeing, attendance and positive attitudes to learning to ensure that all learners have the opportunity to thrive in their journey through the primary schools.
Confidence in conducting home visits, experience of working as part of a team as well as alone, high standards of record keeping and a flexible approach to meet the demands and expectations for the post will be key attributes.

The ideal candidate will have successful experience of working with primary school-aged children and their families both in a school setting and out of school hours with a commitment to working in a multi-agency environment.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
A valid driving licence is requirement for this post.
